The writing life. . .

Occasionally, I receive a royalty check for the books I have published. . .a check or two every few months. . .and the life of a writer (a scholarly writer) comes clearly into focus. . .

Today's check : $45.40 for copies sold of two of my volumes from a defunct Peter Lang Series (books on Barbara Kingsolver and Kurt Vonnegut). . .

Not sure how I can manage the amount. . .except I often spend more than that at a meal. . .[insert the sigh of a writer (scholarly writer)]. . .
